Water Street, Port Townsend
Wooden boats, built and mended.
Keel is a four-person shop on the harbor. We haul, repair, and launch a handful of boats a year. If it floats and it’s made of wood, bring it by.

01
Haul and repair
Planks, fastenings, decks, and paint. Most jobs start with a day on the boat and a written estimate before any wood is cut.
-
02
New boats
One or two a year. In the shop now: a 16-foot daysailer in yellow cedar, for a client in Friday Harbor. The next opening is spring.

03
Lofting nights
Thursday evenings in March. Six weeks, pencils, and a full-size drawing on the shop floor. Eight people. Write if you want a spot.
Winter is spoken for.
The boats already inside stay until they’re launched. New work starts in April. Write before you drive up, and tell us the boat’s length and what you think is wrong.
